Planting – Garlic

Last week, in the midst of preparing chicken stock, I noticed a good portion of my garlic cloves had begun to sprout. I didn’t want to use them in the stock in case they produced an “off” flavor, so I decided to plant them instead.

I browsed the Internet and found a site on How to grow garlic indoors..

I planted one clove alone to grow into a whole new garlic bulb. I also planted three together, and will grow these on for a few weeks. When I plant my salad greens outside, I will blend these cloves and sprouts with other spices and herbs noxious smelling to animals, and use them as a pest deterrent near my garden.
