Hooray! It’s that time of the year again. Planting Time! Today we are going to begin to add the vermiculite, peat moss and humus to our raised bed gardens. We are going to try Mel Bartholomew’s Square Foot Gardening method. I’m excited to see what kind of yields we will reap.
One of my favorite yard and garden centers is Roork’s in Elmer New Jersey. In business for over 60 years, they have anything and everything farm and garden related. You can even set yourself up a brood of chickens and supplies purchased at Roork’s. They have a good supply of different kinds of soil amendments. The perfect destination for early spring.
